I think getting rid of the electoral votes and winning by majority would get rid of many of the current problems.

And using touch screen computers, where you touch the name of the person you are voting for as opposed to punching some 15 century machine, would also help alleviate the problems. Of course it may start new problems like hacking but we will take up that discussion when it happens.
