Skeeter,

Can I jump in on this conversation?

I am always confident in my perception of reality despite the fact that it changes very often - without much in the way of new input.

It presents a huge problem for me.

It's not necessarily arrogance because I am well aware of a huge number of situations where I am clueless.

However, after a certain amount of thought and study I tend to create a reality/model of how things work and then start acting on it. Then, soon after, I have a new and improved model and have to unwind my former decisions.

But without some degree of confidence (even when not deserved) I think I'd find myself much like a deer in a headlight.

Wayne
