Here is a compilation of the questions and statements, followed by a link to the answers from DV to Irish this week. A big thanks to Irish for providing this valuable information.

Note 4674
Well written preass releases include the symbol and trading market of companies that are mentioned by name such as Canon. For example instead of just saying "Canon", the following should be used: CANON INC (NYSE: CAJ). This will create a wider distribution of the information, for in the world of electronic information wire services, this will
automatically distribute your P.R. to anyone tracking developmpents at Canon. Without doing this, JMAR will stay off their screen.

What is the family type of new high performance semiconductor product targeted for the broadband data transfer market that is being released?

What are the expected timeframes for the new family of chips? Time until back from the fab? period for customer testing? time until ready for ultimate sale? production quantities?

Is the company still working with the two biotech companies, Affymetrix and Packard Biosciences? Have any other relationships with biotech companies begun? With who (if at liberty)?

Is the Bede investment carried on the books at Lower of Cost or Market (LOCOM)?

At shareholder meeting, it was stated that the FIFOs will not be produced at the Foundry that JMAR built for the government in Sacramento; however, JMAR will have use of that foundry for certain other specific chip production. What is meant by "other specific chip production"? Is was also stated that a PR will come out on this subject later, is this PR still in the hopper?

DV question: How soon will it be before they need additional financing? In the 10Q, they mentioned they would need additional financing for further development of both JSI products and the x-ray source.

Can he comment on what form the financing might take?

DV question: The deferred shipments Martinez talks about that were now delivered this quarter, were any over $1mm, if so why wasn't it put out as pr news? Were these orders a one time thing or does he feel that they will be accounts in part to continue to buy more in the future? Thanks....T.

question for DV. - It seems like Jmar plans to go it alone and self finance expansion through equity or loan arrangements.

Why would they choose this route which could be very slow and costly as opposed to giving up a % and taking on a partner with some real weight?

Q for Valentine: At the annual meeting, according to toly, they asked Dr. Martinez where they expect the price range for jmar to be at. Dr. Martinez predicted that jmar would be a 15 dollar stock by the end of the year, and by 2 years, it should be a 25 dollar stock.

Are they still projecting those numbers or not, given the volitilty we've seen of the chip stock sector lately.

Note 4777
I totally disagree. #1 DV did not make the valuation call, the chairman Jack Martinez did. This was not a statement that the stock is going to that price just that it is grossly undervalued. This gives shareholders an idea of what the chairman thinks EPS will be in 2001 using basic analysis. He at this point cannot guide us to EPS because the big sales haven't started yet. Once sales are coming in on a regular basis and the stock starts getting coverage from major brokerage firms, jmar will have to start predicting their own EPS. They will do this after the brokerage companies do their EPS calculations and jmar will have to say whether or not they are "comfortable" with them.

Note 4784
I'm curious of what their outlook of this stock is now in this shakey enviroment.

Note 4785
I was at the annual meeting and can tell you, for good or ill, Dr. M did stand up and state what he thought the stock was worth at that time, what he thought it ought to be worth in upcoming years, and why.

As I recall, his statements were couched in the form of opinions, and were otherwise qualified, but he did set forth years and dollar amounts.

Note 4879
Could it be that JRI will need the additional space to manufacture the X-ray point source? Production takes more space than research and I doubt they would be subcontracting this work out. They will likely build them in house to make sure they are done right. They may sub it out later if demand increases and they have worked the kinks out if the production process.

Irish, Lets ask DV what they plan to use this space for!!!

Note 4891
1) Has Henry Shields left JMAR? I see an "H. Shields" listed as a presenter of a paper "EUV absorption in laser-produced plasma source" at the upcoming Microlithography: Emerging Lithographic Technologies
V conference, he is listed as being affiliated with TRW Space & Electronics Group.

2) If he has left, will his departure, or that of Yuli Vladimirsky, have any material negative impact on JMAR's business going forward?
