SIgate indeed!...in my view, its a big enough world, regardless of political leanings, that we should be a bit more tolerant of an opposing view, paid for or otherwise and threatening folks who don't sucumb to our way of thinking is best left to thugs and streetfights...each and every one of these folks we see on TV are paid for shills in essence touting their candidates views....should we boot them as well?...SI's Terms and violation of those terms were set forth with respect to stock manipulators and folks who were paid to either talk up or down a stock, not a Presidential candidate.

Would you have been so determined to toss someone off it he/she were a republican?...somehow I doubt it and while the views of bigsable were certainly one sided, he/she did make an intelligent argument and personally, I could care less whether bigs was/is a paid supporter of one party or another, whether this was a woman or a man, etc...how are we to know that any of the Bush supporters here are not doing the exact same thing, but more discretely?

So, now bigsable is off SI. Very shocking indeed. In the internet world it will take about 10 nanoseconds to create a new alias and I really have to ask the question of what it was he/she said that was so offensive. Like many SI sites, he stated an opinion, folks responded, he responded...sounds like just another day on SI to me.

No one is fond of paid shills who hang out on stock threads, but still confused as to why bigsable represented such a threat. Fight fire with fire...bigsable says something you don't agree with, state your case, move on...seems we went the extreme route of SI expulsion (as if that's such a big deal!), instead of fighting fair.

Wouldn't it be ironic if bigs lost (SI expulsion), but Gore won...I think Bigsable would feel very happy with him/herself.
