Bux, << CDMA has greater capacity than GSM). The total cost to run a W-CDMA network will be much higher than a GSM network >> Possibly. But UMTS UTRA (WCDMA) is "claimed" to be 2 times as efficient spectrally as an IS-95A network (same as 1xMC is) and offers up to 7 times the capacity of a as a GSM net. Don't now if that is true, but that is the claim. - Eric -
