pezz, an excuse or not, if the law is behind it... it is valid and should hold.

The question, were the machines selective in ignoring, or not counting certain ballots while counting others...? one might say that because Mr. Gore was going to get a lot more votes, he was more affected by the machines failings... that is an argument I accept... but FL laws do not have provisions for that... so what do we do...? both candidates new the rules... when the results are not to our liking, we can not ask to have the rules changed...

I say, tough to Mr. Gore... better luck next time, if ever there will be one... and FL, and the nation, this is an embarrassment... better have a nation-wide overhaul of machines and technology so this situation never happens again...

I agree that neither my opinion or yours count... the supreme court will have to decide... but will it end there...?

enjoy the beach...
