I share your feelings. I was pretty surprised to see that 2% number as well. I haven't checked to see how much cash/stock we should receive. I probably should have sold all of my remaining stock a few weeks ago when it was in the 60s or 70s, but I had to hang onto a few hundred shares. Lovely downdraft today--think it has to do with indexers selling either their Seagate or their Veritas--Veritas's market cap won't change, or actually it will go down slightly from fewer shares outstanding (it has gone down a LOT from price depreciation!), so indexers have to get rid their duplicate stock. If you believe that Veritas is worth $40 billion, it is a buy. It is probably one of the few truly high cap stocks left these days. For the moment, anyway.
