Of course Intel would lose business. This is because DEC would not simply stop selling computers, they would choose a competitors chip such as the K6 or M2 or push their new PC Alpha chip wherever possible.

If DEC simply stopped selling computers.....yes people would purchase from other vendors and Intel would not lose business.

If any of this eventuated it will probably be VERY good for either AMD or Cyrix. However as this stage I think the statements we have heard from Intel and DEC are only threats and will not amount to much....ie There will be an out of court settlement.
