Amadeus, I am not sure if you read Clinton's budget in 1993 but there was a little tax there called a BTU tax which would have taxed all forms of energy in the United States. Al Gore was the main supporter of that tax and was very upset when Bill Clinton removed it because the budget would not have passed the Congress if that tax was included in the budget. Clinton knew that tax would jeopardize his whole budget and he made the correct political decision and removed it. That tax would have brought about a deep recession in our economy. Just remember that a couple of years from now when you pick up your energy bill and you start to see a new tax in your bill that will pay for new government programs.

It is like that old saying, " You rob Peter to pay Paul " but in this case, these policies " rob Peter and rob Paul ".
