Tom, FL SupCt has shown they are lightweights
their decision read like a campaign public statement
these guys did NOT act like jurists during the hearing
nor with their ruling

the FLorida legislature is FUMING angry now
their Senate is 25 to 15 Republican
their House is 77 to 43 Republican
their laws and statutes have been overturned expostfacto
they have the power to ignore their own SupCt ruling
we might have TWO separate sets of Electors sent for Dec18th vote

we aint going for full state hand recounts
we are heading for Florida battle: leglislature VS judiciary

Bush team has made tactical errors
(not demanding full state hand recounts)
but they seem more expert in legal interpretation
they have chosen the high levels of legal challenge
NOT the ground war as you call it

respectfully, I think you misread these FL SupCt lightweights
their entire emphasis has been pragmatism and overarching rule
psychology is not the emphasis
rather it is the focus of attention
and their was DEADLINES, VOTER RIGHTS

we even have dispute over the Illinois "dented chad" criterion
Illinois did not clearly allow dents to count as votes

this is escalating, NOT concluding
I think we may have an unprecedented Electoral College battle
both in Florida's contingency and nationwide
remember half the states do NOT require the Electors to be bound

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHICH STATES ALLOW UNBOUNDED ELECTORS?
ARE THEY GORE STATES OR BUSH STATES?
critical question

this FL SupCt decision creates more conflict than it resolves
very unimpressive court
not too concerned about either conforming to the law,
nor avoiding a reconstitution of the law after the fact

no guidance for military absentee ballots disqualified
no specific guidance for conforming to valid vote law
far too much latitude for local Democrat officials to create convenient vote validity standards
and a firm deadline that disables any statewide hand recount

"we do not place blind trust in machines"
I wonder if FL SupCt judges calculate their Mastercard interest every month, balance their checkbooks every month, and research every legal case without the aid of computer
next stop: US Supreme Court, or Federal Circuit
and endless individual ballot challenges
every single challenged ballot must be reviewed by the county's three officials
these guys will not be eating turkey
