Your prediction was correct on FLA Supreme Ct "My bet is that the Florida Supreme Court will allow the manual recounts and will set a date something like the end of the month as a deadline." However, since the canvassing boards complete discretion on the "dimples issue" has now been to some extent implicitly ratifed by the FLA Supreme Ct decision - it looks like the the counters will dig up enough Gore "votes" plus a cushion to overcome even the military votes. If the Florida Legislature simply clarifies the law using their majority voting power in both houses - then Bush may still win. Good news for biotech in that case. Of course the mess created by this decision may tank foreign investment and the NAS - even more.
