Brian: " Daimler-Benz's position as the world's largest manufacturer of buses and heavy trucks will allow Ballard to pursue global mass markets for heavy duty engines from the outset, rather than only the niche North American transit bus engine market as previously planned. While the change will delay the introduction of heavy duty fuel cell engines by two or three years, the market size and prospects for success are significantly enhanced."

That is from the quarterly report. I don't get the stuff about the two or three year delay for the bus market. Does that mean that Ballard won't be delivering test units to Chicago in July as planned? Or if Chicago says it likes the product and wants to order more, Ballard will put them on hold until Daimler is ready? Mysterious.

Nevertheless, Ballard deserves points for finally releasing quarterly results like normal companies, rather than just sneaking them out in official filings, as had been its practice.
