There seems to be a lot of emotion in some of the comments on the topic of analysts, Full Disclosure, etc. It seems misplaced to me. I also didn't see much negative emotion when the analysts and sales folks were pushing stocks to the moon, much to a momentum-driven investing-public's delight.

Technical traders can avoid all that noise. It is virtually impossible for any market participant to trade in size and not show up on the chart.

And technical trading is what the thread topic is all about...

PS: I've met a number of the regulators in Canada and your description of Arthur Levitt rings familiar.
