Cummings: I heard on TV tonight that if the rest of the military ballots are allowed, Bush will pick up maybe 70 additional votes ... assuming the percentages of the previous votes hold. That's all. Just 70.

Did you hear Sen. Kerry of Nebraska on TV today? He said rules are rules, laws are laws, and people in the military shouldn't expect special consideration for their votes just because they're in the military. This comment from both a Democrat and a Medal of Honor winner.

Re "bunch of lawyers":

Bush simply got "out-lawyered" in Florida. He had bad advice from the get-go.

But this ain't over with yet. I'd say the odds of Bush winning remain slightly in his favor, although this deal of having the Florida Legislature select the electors is a little too far-fetched to succeed.
