Hmm. And I heard that ballots were being sent to Israel late to try to find a post office willing to backdate postmark dates. In reality I suspect that fears of fraud with late absentee votes were probably overstated on both sides because there weren't an expectedly high number of late ballots. Nevertheless the possibility of fraud in this area is particularly high, which is why these ballots should not be counted unless it is very clear that they were postmarked on time, and ballots with no postmark should definitely not be counted.
