"The people of Florida elect a legislature to write laws and an executive branch to implement those laws. With this decision, a collection of liberal activists has arbitrarily swept away thoughtfully designed statutes ensuring free and fair elections and replaced them with their own political opinions. "The Court's action is intrusive, anti-democratic, and contemptuous of self-government. "The Florida Supreme Court seems to believe that it is supreme with respect to all the institutions of Florida state government and, therefore, may summarily disregard the prerogatives of the executive and legislative branches.
