Kevin,
I dunno - there's still a whole legion of 'investors' out there that do not follow the nuances of the market and its players like so many have chosen to do. I use my mother as an example, all of this is unknown to her, yet she has money in the market. My barber is the same, he has no idea. Fortunately most of these folks are in bland mutual funds and will probably survive this.
Hey, look at a chart of NEON, intraday it started tanking and tanked 50% before the end of the day. 10-Q has news in it, and people are panicing (or reacting rationally, just all at once).
Very impressive chart.
I wonder how everyone's turkey day dinner time conversation will go... 'man, I got bit by NEON but PUMP is promising to make all my losses back!'
Perhaps when there are big headlines in the paper "End of the Market?" and the "What Were We Thinking?" specials on TV, and my mom finally panics and asks for advice, then maybe the bottom will be in. (And perhaps the decline ranking will have moved up to 2nd or 1st...) |
