Thread ---Received a note that Sonny is away on vacation . Will post again soon . Boy what a disaster this market is ! The real issue is not the election but that Greenspan does nothing about interest rates . He is really damageing the economy . NAPM was below fifty this week ---another sign a recession is coming . I guees he wants to be able to control oil prices and this is the only way he can . The election: Why don't they declare Gore the winner ? They will continue recounting until he is declared the winner . One thing for certain nothing will get done in Washington for the next four years and he will be forever known as the Dimple President . The market going down is not because of the election ---it is just an excuse . Has anyone notice since the fair disclousure act how the houses are targeting certain sectors to drive the stock prices down ? With all the cash that usually causes the year end rally they are buying the companies at steep discounts with that cash for the future . Nothing has change about technology except that the perception by the houses has damage the stocks . In conjunction with this it was noted yesterday on CNBC that we have record short interest betting that the market will go down further . Usually a contradictory sign for a near term bottom ---the houses also want to gouge the shorts . I have noticed a dramatic increase in the number in shorts across the threads I read ---I wonder if the houses have people posting under assume names to try drive down stocks prices ? A lot of the drivel they post does not make sense except that it is negative ---also wonder if it illegal ? ANN --do not know if we deserve to be in the Orange Bowl but we are definitely playing the best football in America ---we beat Florida by the largest margin of victory in over twenty five years . If the BCS is about matching the best two teams in America at the end of the season we are one of them . Well enough ---this market is not going to turn until Greenspan lower interest rates and the Houses get their fill of cheap stocks HAPPY THANKSGIVING Enjoy the family and what really counts BEST WISHES BILL
