Barry, re: FL legislature Thats a bold prediction. I hope it doesn't come true. The power of the country is in the consent of the people to be governed by the rule of law. When this mess started to emerge two weeks ago, Gore and Bush should have sat down and agreed to terms for reaching a result, to avoid going to court. They both should have put the rule of law ahead of their own self interest. They have managed to set in place a sequence of events that will lead to a unsatisfactory result for half the voters, and it should be unsatisfactory for the other half as well, if they care about the republic. And to four years of bad government, at best. That's what comes from the ultra-partisanship that has been seen in so many posts on this thread. John
