elmatador- FWIW I suppose I focus on residential because it's the most ancient and slowest network which has the most potential for upgrades. So I end up taking a narrow view which is never a good idea. Business has more money although residential has the masses.

Do you happen to have any stats on how many office buildings there are(which one would assume all have copper runs to them) in Europe? I know we have the figure for USA upstream somewhere. I'll try to dig it up. I don't believe I have ever seen any stats on office buildings beyond Europe.

In a city like Prague, there is little likelyhood that there will ever be fiber deployments directly into office buildings. Too much digging into historical buildings and too many regulations, right? Prague seems tailor made for LMDS(using those high hills or that GIANT soviet era TV tower in the center of the city as a base). -MikeM(From Florida)
