I'm reading way back in the thread so if any of these issues have already been addressed, please forgive.

Mr. Wexler: You obviously have a strong opinion which you are articulating well enough here. There is no need to add attitude. When you ask, "just how does this hype relate to ZITL revenues?" what are you implying? That there is falsehood contained in a press relaease? Please. Your question would be just as valid without including the word "hype." And probably better received.

To those of you stuck on the Pricing issue: Go to any other y2k vendor web site. Do you see pricing information? Are they all scams? Do you realize that you can get five different wholesale prices for gasoline from five different dealers within a five mile radius in SF? Go to the Chevron web site. Do they advertise one price for gasoline? Gee, I wonder why not.

Why did MD customers want windowing? Because they had already started their y2k assessments and were already stuck on shortcuts and cheap fixes. MD miscalculated, yes. They were trying to sell gourmet to customers who wanted a Big Mac. Windowing has its own problems, like possibly slowing everything down.
