Jim,

re: "It appears that the Dem Lawyers are better"

Yes, I agree the Gore lawyers have performed better. Some of that can be put to the fact that the Florida courts have always favored the voter over the politicians. But you are right, the Gore team always seems to be anticipating the next move, in their current actions, the Bush team always seems to be playing catch up. Maybe this should give pause to the folks that were of the opinion that said Bush wasn't all that smart, but would surround himself with good people.

re: "and the court deck is stacked in their favor with mainly Dem judges."

I haven't seen anything to indicate that the SC decision was partisan. I think if the candidates positions were reversed, you would have gotten the same ruling.

re: "I really have to say that the Gore Lawyers are the more offensive here...to the point of trying to change the rules of the game in overtime."

I don't concede that. Florida law has provisions for manual recounts. The Bush lawyers went to court first to stop the recounts. I would say that is trying to change the rules. Now the Reps are encouraging the FL legislature to disregard the FL SC opinion, and force a constitutional challenge. That's offensive to me.

re: "Gore voters must be proud the NASDAQ ia now approaching 2700..."

I think both Gore and Bush voters are probably equally disturbed, and their candidates are equally responsible.

John
