Mark, thank you for your sobering viewpoint. I did want to point out that to me, $1 Billion in eight years (or less) is over night, but I did not make that clear. Also you might note that the EPS of SYBS is -91 cents and that of IFMX is -40 cents. Perhaps this leads to their relatively low market capitalization.
Earnings at WIND could easily be $4-5 by the end of five years. Even at a relatively tame multipe of 20, that is still a share price of 100, triple today's value in five years. Can anyone who is a long-term investor short this stock?
I do agree with you that the momentum players are controlling this stock. If we assume that they have driven things to extremes, then perhaps we can assume that 18 is too low and 36 is too high, but without them perhaps, we would be trading in the mid to high 20's. I would say that this is a simplistic but perhaps not so stupid empirical way to judge a current fair value. To the small, long-term investor like me, these momentum investors seem a bit of an annoyance. I can never really judge my worth easily from day-to-day and in general these wild swings are a discomfort. Any other thoughts on this?
