Those little Bush-spikes should be a reminder to all the bears to make sure you've got some kind of hedge in case this thing turns hard -- say, it becomes clear that Gore can not overtake Bush. I would suggest buying calls on some of the recently beaten down pieces of trash like NTAP or, well, you get the idea.

Personally, I have not wasted much money on this strategy as I do not mind missing the bottom and, fwiw, I don't think we have the makings of one. However, you can sure feel how frustrated the bulls are and how bad they want to get this thing going. If they really push it we should get a monster day fueled by short-covering.
