State Highway Commission, Design Section, on the 7th floor of the State Office Bldg @ 1 W. Wilson St. in Madison. Guess my memory isn't shot yet! Our section chief, I think his name was Les Derleth, announced the news to us. We all stood around, at first dumbfounded, then angry, then sad. The next three days were even more bizarre and numbing. Glad those days are behind us....or are they? Knip
