You're splitting hairs big time, John.

Just because the suits were filed by citizens doesn't mean they should be considered "non-partisan."

Just because the suits were filed by citizens doesn't mean they weren't encouraged or manipulated by the Gore campaign.

Just because the first suit by the campaigns was filed by Bush doesn't mean the Gore campaign is totally hands-off in this matter, nor does it make the actions by the Gore campaign any less detestable. (As I recall, it was Gore's lackeys who showed up in Florida first, even before the first count was finished.)
