You're wrong, as usual. Powell wants to be Secretary of State or Defense; doesn't want to be in the limelight. McCain doesn't like D-Dubya-I, as was evidenced in the primary. Already said no to VP overtures over the summer. Cheney's replacement might well be the right-wing governor of Oklahoma. He made the final cut before Bush picked Cheney.
