Viatel (VYTL: news, msgs) said Vice Chairman Alfred West has been forced to sell 1.2 million shares of his 5.1 million share stake of Viatel common stock to satisfy a margin call on an existing loan. Viatel is a telecommunications company. On March 7, shares hit an 52-week high of $75.38. On Monday, shares established a 52-week low of $3.97. Currently, Viatel shares are down 13 cents, or 2.9 percent, to $4.25.
