I met Walter when he was VP. He was ice fishing in front of our cabin. Only had on secret service guy next to him. My dad and I walked right up to him had a pleasant conversation. He was sitting on a snowmobile with a sign on it that said "Air Force 2 1/2". He politely declined our invitation to come up to the cabin for a drink. He used to live less than a mile from where I'm sitting right now.
