This is so unfair. The Bush team is already lying like they are the president!

At the same time that they were assuring all of us that Cheney was healthy, he had certainly already sustained a fourth heart attack and was having emergency stenting of a coronary artery. news.excite.com

It is highly presumptuous for them to act like they won the election and to go into the modus operandi of presidential lying before the Florida vote is settled.

And, not to be outdone in the contest to act presidential, I just read that the Gore team had suppressed the story that his son was ticketed for speeding in August. No big deal except that he was clocked at 97 MPH in a 55 zone! That is a Kennedyesque performance and Gore is now belatedly milking it for all it is worth.

I suppose the next thing we'll hear is vague admissions of womanizing, and opaque references to mistakes having been made.

Sorry to be so negative. But one of these guys is NOT going to be the next president. It makes it harder for the country to unite behind the winner if they both keep trying to outdo each other in attempting to appear presidential before the election is decided.
