Yes Yaacov. Not only do I watch CNN to get my weather. I
watch Euro-CNN to get my weather that much in advance. I,
for instance, know now what the weather here will be like
two weeks from now by paying careful attention
to the weather in Europe.

Many people are surprized that one can forecast the weather
this way, especially on the west coast. Especially, right
on the coast. Some people don't know what's happening with
the weather until only 24 hours in advance on the coast (if
then). Me, I'm way ahead of the game.

Alternately, I just type "weather" in the Unix dial-up
shell and I get the current text from the National Weather
Service (part of the bloated Federal bureaucracy). I
suppose I could set it up to kick out the weather
through my printer automatically, but that would be using
paper and needlessly killing trees, which increases the
greenhouse effect which changes the weather. So, rather
than change the weather, I try to just be a casual
observer.

You know what I don't understand Yaacov? I don't understand
why people watch TV to see what the weather is like. If
you want to know what the weather is like, why not just go
outside?

Happy Thanksgiving, Yaacov.
