"Many" does not even mean "most", but is an indeterminate number. Thus, it is erroneous to infer that "many" refers to "the rest of the Americans". It refers to a large number of them, but you cannot even say with certainty that it refers to a majority, much less "the rest". Nor does it say that Cuban- Americans understand "everything", rather, it says that as a group they have a special appreciation of how dear freedom is. This may or may not be true, but it is not unintelligible as a statement. Thus, if there is anyone who is having difficulty processing language tonight, it appears to be, well, you..........
