Analysts do not shoot stocks soaring. Traders do.

You are responsible for your own investment decisions. Period. Even if you pay somebody for advice. Scapegoating an analyst is irrelevant.

The guy writing the report doesn't know you, your circumstances or your needs. He may be a genius or a bubblehead, a savant or a scam artist. It doesn't matter.

When you buy stocks, you do so as an adult, free agent. Each trade is a conscious, willing, and personal decision.
