Happy Thanksgiving Aduke,

Yes, that is one of the most interesting "silver lining" posts I have read in a while.

So let's see ...... if the country goes down the tubes because of this year's stock market losses, little DPPI may benefit. Sure .... that makes sense ..... feed the homeless with nacho chips .... it could happen .... really ...... I believe it .... lol.

As far as "stock market losses" are concerned, yes, anything bought this year is probably a loss, but the NASDAQ is up almost 100% from Oct 1998 ... 2 short years ago. When you think about it, the fact that a major index like the NASDAQ could double in 2 years, or go from 3000 to 5000 (a 60% rise) in 4 short months ... that's some pretty scary speculation going on there !!

The S&P 500 is up 30%+ from Oct 1998 too.

So there are still plenty of gains to collect taxes on. Probably several TRILLION DOLLARS worth !

Of course, that number may change 4 months from now !

Chris
