What people have forgotten is the lawsuit won by AMD for patent infringements on the MAX5000/7000 product line. I guess it was about two years ago now. This product line WAS a major revenue source for Altera at the time. Altera has not settled on damages as of yet. Lattice now holds the patents through the Vantis purchase. This one has the potential to really hurt financially. Will look like peanuts compared to whatever outcome results from the 8000 suit. Later
