Elmer,

re: "6 liberal judges"

I haven't seen them called liberal before. What makes you think that?

re: "Do you really want lawmakers picking the next President? My answer is, in this case yes because the alternative is to have 6 liberal judges pick the next president. The law provides for the Legislature to do so and this law wasn't enacted after the fact and the rules and standards weren't changed repeatedly to favor one political party in carefully selected precints by Courts "where reason and objectivity can overcome emotion and partisanship""

By your own admission, the SC won't "picking the new President" (as you said you believe Bush will win). They are setting rules in the presence of contradictory law, to allow the voters to pick the winner. The legislature, on the other hand, is contemplating changing the decision of the voters if they choose a party that doesn't match their majority. How would you feel about that if it was a "liberal" legislature?

The SC decision seems to be far more conservative than liberal, giving the most local government body the most power in the decision of how to conduct it's business, which in this case is an election.

It's my state. I really don't want the legislature to do my voting for me. Would you, in your state?

re: "How predictable. The liberal view is that the liberal view is superior."

I suppose you think the conservative view is that the conservative view is inferior?

John
