Happy Turkey Day To All !

JDN, hope you, your wife and Paddy have a nice day.

I suppose Gore feels he MUST have gotten more votes

JDN, Gore took the popular vote. According, to yesterday's NY Times, Gore was ahead by 323,703 votes. Many people forget this point. Many people think Florida will decide the winner.

Actually, the Electoral College will make that decision. And those members can vote any way they want. Unfortunately, with their eyes on Florida, the national media has forgotten about the Electoral College's power so even if Bush wins Florida, and I think he will, there is always the possibility that the Electoral College might vote for Gore because he won the popular vote.

Although everyone talks about chads, what are you all doin' down there in Florida's Seminoe County? Yesterday's NYTimes, (Page A20) says Gore is concerned not only about the butterfly ballots but about "a high error rate among Democratic minority voters in some counties, and the practice of allowing Republican workers in Seminole County to correct applications for absentee ballots by Republicans. (ggg) Florida is a mess, JDN! (gg)

I think Mr. Bush will probably end up in White House, but let's get rid of this outdated method for voting.

Every voting booth should have a PC. The voter should be able to touch a simple Enter Key to cast his or her vote.

And b4 the voter leaves the booth, the voter should be able to review that ballot b4 a final choice is made.

This method would be similar to the way an ATM machine works.

Did you give Paddy some pumpkin pie?

Cheers,

Mephisto
