It's 3pm now and I just got the turkey cooked. I'm well into my second drink trying to get rid of a headache. Damn turkey was supposed to take 2 1/2 hours at 325, it took 5 hours at 400. Our oven is garbage and 99.9% of the time we, well I, use the convection oven. Could have cooked 2 thighs in 45 minutes that way. Why she drug home a whole turkey is beyond me. We feed the white meat to the dogs most of the time. Could have cooked the turkey on the grill and had something good, but no go. Looks like my dinner will be 7Crown and Coke. Next year I'm buying a camper and getting the hell out of town. Sorry about your kitty. Pets tend to really become a part of out lives. Butch cost us $1,800 back in '88 for a hip operation. I hear they sell health insurance for pets and it doesn't sound like a bad idea.
