Well, both Clinton and Gore were citing how well the economy had performed under their administration.

They claim the good, they have to share the blame... especially when public opinion widely perceives Al Gore as the spoiler in this election.

Given that the Nasdaq has declined 19% since the election, one has to ask how much more people are going to take.

But you're right.. it would probably be a bit of demagoguery for anyone to completely blame Al Gore for the market's "performance these past couple of months.

But then again, it didn't stop him from calling Bush "big oil" despite long standing and valuable connections to Occidental Petroleum.

Yeah.. nothing wrong with a big of reverse demagoguery once and awhile... ;0)
