ftth- I was kind of being sarcastic but forgot the <g>. I say 'kind of' because I was assuming that if fiber was run to that many office buildings, then I assumed it was lit. In your opinion wouldn't you say that most of the fiber that is already installed directly to the office buildings today, are lit? If so, it'll be a long time before those need to be upgraded wouldn't you say.

I really don't fully understand what drives upgrade spending in the enterprise last mile. Seems to me the only thing I see driving it today is copper exhaust. And that just seems to end up pushing out HDSL2 solutions. But I forsee fixed broadband wireless may be the strongest motivator for incumbents to start spending on upgrading to fiber. Similar to two-way HFC driving ADSL. -MikeM(From Florida)
