I am a biologist.

I really suspect, for example, that people who are "faithful" and can believe absolutely in religion, or country, or cause, are wired differently in the brain. We all have different wiring for our pleasure centers. Some people get enormous pleasure out of being part of crowds, and mass movements.

I suspect that it is a simple matter of biology. I'm very glad I got to be who I am, biologically speaking.
