"My view is that AMAT shares are very attractive here but may become even more
attractive after a year end rally."

I tend to agree. I have been itching to buy AMAT for about a year. Have followed CYMI through the cycle since before it went public. When I look at Gottfried's charts, I see us at the stage that I have been at twice before. At about this phase in the past some of those bookings began to renege. The stock price is just anticipating the continuation of the chip cycle. The last two times around this was accompanied by well reasoned arguments that this time the market had changed and the cycle would not happen or that it would be different this time. If you stand back from the charts and mentally continue the increasing amplitude sign waves, you get high highs and higher lows, but you(I) also get a continued downward move at this point.

My guess is further price declines, but nobody seems to be able to call the top or bottom. I have seen 26 predicted for AMAT, and 13 predicted for CYMI. I am not selling my CYMI, and I would not sell my AMAT if I had any. But I won't buy yet either.

As always, I could be wrong, my history tells me that is a definite possibility.
