You can interpret it all you want for your own use.

Cohen is a died-in-the-wool Democrat as is Raspberry. Cohen is saying that, given this mess we've gotten ourselves into, Bush would be better at pulling us out. Were it not for the mess, he wouldn't have taken that position. I'm sure he wasn't saying that Ron Reece was right about Dubya all along.

FYI, I was married to an Air Force officer for 10 years during the Viet Nam war. Please don't suggest that I don't appreciate what the military does.

I agree with you that Bush would be better at creating bi-partisanship. I think that even the Gore supporters would agree with that, for the most part.

I wasn't talking about Jesse Jackson or his crowd and what they've done or not done. Whether or not the Reps were provoked, they have no business lying, distorting the constitution, abusing patriotism, or inciting violence. I have plenty of gripes about how the Dems have handled things. I pick on the Reps here because what they say is more outrageous, because most of it goes unanswered, and because the Rep Party would be my natural home but for the hypocrisy and the right-wing-nuts.
