I pick on the Reps here because what they say is more outrageous,

Such as?...

Btw, find me a "blue-haired lady" and match her up with her actual electronic chad ballot and I think there might be a possibility of cutting her some slack, despite the fact that she could have asked for a new ballot.

I was talking with my mother the other day and she's quite active in assisting senior citizens in her county. She took a number of them down to the polls and actually accompanied them into the booth to assist them in filling out their ballots properly.

As for military folks, they can be contacted at their place of service and their intent CONFIRMED.

This is in contrast to taking a pregnant chad that has not been perforated and trying to divine whether it was a mistake or a deliberate decision to choose "none of the above".

Afterall, most of these folks were voting for other candidates than just the president.

But it is evident that the democrats were prepared to contest the Florida votes and cherry pick the heavily democratic counties. That is evidenced by the fact that they had that telemarketing operation in action and making calls during the afternoon of November 7th.

There was no such reported similar activity by the Republicans. I'm sure the Democrats would have reported it, if there had been.

Finally, you make a very valid point about it being seen as "unseemly" for Republicans to engage in the same manner of political "hardball" as the liberals.

But if you are so outraged by these tactics, then obviously you should throw in your hat with the party that shows the most restraint, or unwillingness to stoop to that level.

As I've stated before, I despise demagoguery and hypocrisy. And this was clearly and blatantly evidenced by Al Gore claiming Bush represents "big oil" while obfuscating his own ties to OXY. Then Al had the guts to claim that Bush would send this nation back to the era of slavery.

I mean, what are Republicans supposed to do, just sit there and take it while the democrats call them fascists, commissars, and racists?

Regards,

Ron
