James ... this is mostly a retail day ... and I think there's a 50/50 chance it may fade. If it doesn't ... then with an up morning Monday ... the technical bounce that had to come sometime soon is over ... and its down to real buyers to step up to the plate.... rather than some retailers & some short-covering (which some house predicted). With month end coming ... I might have expected a bounce ... but the window dressing that occurs begs the question ... which tech stocks would a growth fund manager like to show in his portfolio ... given that most have performed poorly. Could we get a reverse effect where they dump tech ??. Personally I don't know ... but if this does fade ... I wouldn't like to get caught long for Monday as it could get messy. I'm flat ... I didn't like the open ... everything was markedup and it looked too easy ... fwiw ... Chances are I may not trade today... Best Regards Stephen
