DON <<<Im getting more and more technical support saying that a mid-term bottom was set. Only mid-term(30 days). And I normally just go with my technicals and limit the influence of news/fundamentals.>>>

Playing the probabilities is the smart way to go. I am just very nervous about the market reaction to the election news these days and how it appears to over power the fundamentals on a short term basis -- look what happened Wednesday on a favorable announcement for Bush around 1:00pm. I am just trying to play it safe. Lately, I have gotten wacked on plays that relied on the technicals -- there is just too much noise in the data over a one or two day period to go with any confidence, at least with the stocks I watch -- they have become wild in their fluctuations during this period.

I am just trying to decide if it may be a good play to start shorting into the close but there just seems there is too much risk at this point. GH
