You're absolutely right. And after Ms. Noonan told her Arkansas incest joke to the assembled gathering and in front of the C-Span cameras, no one in the audience laughed when she delivered the punchline. Perhaps the audience wasn't sure whether it was a joke or whether she had gone off the deep end and her hate for the Clintons had taken on a new form.

In fact, Ms. Noonan was being devilishly nasty by telling the joke. That was the point I was trying to make.

Any little respect I had for the woman quickly went out the window at that point.
