KLP: For every J.J. Johnson, J.C. Watts and Clarence Thomas, there are 25 educated, middle-class African-Americans who vote Democratic. That is not conjecture. That is fact based on what happened Nov. 7.

They do so for a reason, i.e., the Democratic platform for improving America's public schools and GWB's refusing to take a stand on the flag of the Confederacy.

It is nonsense to accuse the Democrats of trying to divide the country. The Republicans have done a pretty good job all their own. Example: The third presidential debate, when the African-American voter from St. Louis asked GWB if he was proud of the fact that Texas was executing so many people. On one hand GWB says no, he's not proud of that record. On the other hand, he taunted and mocked the female convicted murderer shortly before her execution.
