Speaking of Rush, I was listening to him on Election Day. He was openly laughing and smirking when he mentioned the Zogby poll as showing Gore 2 points ahead. Like most of the conservative talk shows, he was expecting a 5 to 7 point blowout. He was counting on the Democrats not turning out their base. The lesson of this election is that Democrats will turn out. Republicans have read the returns. They know the voting public agrees with the Democrats on the issues.
