Derek, as a recent purchaser of Tradestation 4.0 i can attest to the fact that the Easy Language is actually quite simple. I have read the easy language book (1 time so far) and wrote my first system in their power editor last night in 30 miunutes. The system checks for breakouts based on a stock breaking out of a trading range and i had a volume rate of change indicator to assure that it was a legitimate breakout. Once the program substatiates that indeed i've had a breakout with the volume to warrant my attention the system buys the next day with a tight stop loss and a sell when the volume oscilator changes direction. The great thing about power editor is that i was able to assign 10 of the variables as inputs, therefore enabling me to optimize the system. Of course this system works well on the stocks that i have chosen to use it on, the real challenge will be the REAL WORLD. I am not a programming geek by any means, however, my personal opinion is that if somebody tells you they can't figure out easy language "they must be a few rocks shy of a full load!" Blaine
